Your dentures are constructed with the applicable number of teeth on a plastic base that is colored to match your gums. The entire piece is then supported with a metal structure. Partial dentures also contain a clasp on either end so that your dentures will attach to the neighboring teeth. Our
Florence dentures are held in with adhesive at the gum line (and supplemented with clasps for the partials). In the case of complete dentures, you can have them put in immediately, but it's recommended that you wait for the gum and bone tissue to naturally shrink after the last of your natural teeth have been removed. Doing so will mean a better fit and fewer adjustments later on. There is no such waiting period when you get partial dentures.
